and the oscar goes to..

recap on the oscar.. very very long show and boring.. it took up to 6 hours rather than 4 hours planned to be schedule.. even Ell*n D*generes cannot be a 'hero' to save the show from long boring dragging speeches.. during the opening, I guessed, it was quite ok.. then she'd rambled on her dream to become the oscar host and that dream finally came true last nite.. she said this year emmy show was to celebrate the nominees instead of to celebrate the winner as we always do.. at the end of that speech, someone threw tamborine at her.. suddenly, a stream of choir singers came along and sang 'hallelujah'.. and this group of people keep on singing and walking (well maybe dancing a bit..) from the stage down to the aisle where all the nominees sat.. finally, ellen joined and sang harmoniously (erkk... not really la..) together until the final word of 'hallelujah'... and that was the opening of the emmy..

I watched the rerun on star-movies-red-carpet (asia version of course) that supposedly hosted by d*minic and l*nda.. but where the hell was she? ke aku yg missed something.. like last yearnya pon moi watched the rerun.. adalah jugak muka m*ya karin tu.. back-to-back between her and sapa ntah aku tak ingat nama mamat vj channel v tu.. j*ey kot.. yet, at least adalah gak si m*ya tu interview few artist walau tak ramai.. and also footage on her preparation to the red carpet.. so moi confuse.. ke aku yg tengok salah slot.. sapa2 yg tau.. please inform me.. cold feet ka?? kawan aku lagi best.. dia kata linda lost kat red carpet.. sungguh kejamm.. hahahaha..


~ best picture : the departed (didn't have a chance to see the movie.. and blood diamond.. what a bummer.. I'm so frustrated.. leornado dicaprio is yummy.. and he is my hero.. 'u jump i jump' remember that quote line?? hehehe.. who can deny that?.. as older he gets, as handsome he looks.. that very pretty boyish look has gone people!!.. goshh.. *drool*)

~ best director : martin scorcese 'the departed' (finally!! I love that he keeps his feet down to earth and didn't blamed the academy or anybody for that long-overdue emmy winning.. bukan macam kat mesia ni.. siap beri ucapan tak puas hati dgn bahasa yg tak sedap didengar.. kata org lama dlm industri ni.. tapi cakap macam takde experience and macam baru sehari terjun dlm bidang seni.. konon setelah berpuluh tahun dok buat filem, satu award pon tak dapat.. inilah baru 1st time dapat.. ikhlas buat keje ke tak tu? pastu siap buat lawak yg tak berapa nak lawak.. and berbaur 18SX.. bosann.. )

~ best actor : forest whitaker 'the last king of scotland' (I could see from the vt showed.. his intense emotion and in depth character as Ugandans dictator.. the movie is something like that.. and that accent is quite difficult to imitate, I tell ya.. )

~ best actress : helen mirren 'the queen' (she's british.. most experienced actress.. very smooth speech.. simply love it.. and very deserved to win also.. mind yaa.. )

~ best supporting actor : alan arkin 'little miss sunshine' (the movie is about dysfunctional family.. one family in this journey to little miss sunshine pageant at california to fulfill 7 year old deepest wish.. yet she has a suicidal father and drug-addicted grandfather to deal with.. why American loves everything dysfuntional? I dunno.. I think they love to watch something opposite than the ordinary.. they don't want to watch the sam-o sam-o one.. always want to be different.. in every way if possible..)

~ best supporting actress : jennifer hudson 'dreamgirls' (didn't have a chance to see the movie.. I dunno if she did a lot of singing or acting on the movie.. so dunno what to say.. all I can say the singing is superb.. she did performed along beyonce and the other actress from the movie.. suara2 paktam/maktam memang takleh lawan la.. hi note semua leh capai..)

pastu ada lagi satu moment yg aku 'terstunned' kejap.. for best original song.. melissa etheridge won for 'I Need to Wake Up' from movie 'An Inconvenient Truth' (never heard of the movie..) Ironically, this was the only song that was nominated from maybe not-so-famous movie.. the other nominations were 3 from 'dreamgirls' and 1 from 'cars'.. on the speech, she said thank you to her wife.. huh??? my first impression was, dressing same like ell*n.. is it possible that she ...?? it keeps me wondering jugak at first.. then, when she said 'I thank you my wife and our 4 kids'.. memang sah.. and 4 kids?? where were those kids came from?? I didn't know that she's that.. you know.. I know her name.. quite famous gak.. just tak perasan pulak dia begitu.. heshh.. apa nak jadi pada kaum hawa sekalian nih.. moi confuse..
