ice cream, anyone?

moi and my ex-housemate and other frens had this conversation thru email this morning.. at first the story was about congrats note to one of our fren's newborn.. then, it has expanded to molten choc @ ch*llis during our not-so-long-ago luncheon gathering... and finally, ice-cream.. since so many of my frens are expecting this year.. so, our story revolves around thing(s) they feel like eating (not moi, since moi takde perasaan nak makan apa.. belasah jek apa depan mata).. tau jelah orang mengidam nih.. at st l*uis, there is this one famous homemade ice-cream parlour.. no franchise whatsoever in the states.. you would never find the same thing, I would say the same brand la.. kang cakap paling sedap, ada pulak yg lebih sedap.. even if you do the cross-country searching.. you could find ted drewes frozen custard only at st lo*is city.. plus to make it super special, they have only 2 outlets, one located at grand blvd.. since grand blvd is the same main road with our's apt, so it was easy for us to go.. but open during summer only and the smallest outlet.. the other one located at chippewa.. it's open all year long, maybe close during bad weather or during holiday season.. this one is the happening one.. moi remember our first time went to buy that ice-cream.. it was quite far from SLU.. (this must be at chippewa).. so, it was quite a journey for us.. it was kind of cold jugak that time.. tapi peduli apa.. my favorite, of course the one and only banana split.. they would serve on this large container.. and moi usually mesti kena share with someone to finish it.. if nak tunggu aku abiskan memang lambat.. by the time I'm done with mine, others must've been beku, when we went on winter season la ni.. of course I could finish them all.. moi bab2 makan ni memang tak penah tak abis.. unless my stomach couldn't take it no more.. or there's something wrong with what I eat.. and there was one more favorite called fox treat, full of macadamia nut and raspberries.. waa, yummy yummy!!.. and you could also make your own combination.. so, we would eat our ice-cream in the car if it snowing or freezing cold outside.. or just braved ourselves with that wind chill blowing to our face which would feel like knife cutting thru our skin.. summer season, that place would be jammed-packed with people, with no parking spot available... and there would be this very long queue.. kids with their's parent, grandpas, grandmas, uncles, aunties, a bunch of teenagers and a bunch of college students like us.. waiting on the line for their turn to order while chattering gleefully and joyfully with their's accompany..


one more of our's favorite was from the local groceries store.. and most of the time, it must be on sale 'buy one free one'.. it would be either schnuck's (the groceries' own brand) or dreyer's.. the cost would be around USD5 gituh.. for 2 carton.. see.. so very cheap one.. during our groceries shopping, ice-cream was one of the MUST BUY thing.. my housemate the one couldn't live without ice-cream.. moi the one couldn't live without coffee.. hehehe.. ok people.. so, there you go.. the colorful ice-cream stories..
